The Federal Government on Tuesday said it had within the past four
months, borrowed the sum of N473bn to finance the 2015 budget.
The Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, stated this during a media briefing on the 2015 budget, which was passed last week by the National Assembly.
The Senate had last week Tuesday passed the national budget of N4.493tn for the 2015 fiscal year, about five months after it was presented by Okonjo-Iweala.

Mr. Hassan Umar, who commenced trekking from Lagos to Maiduguri,

Christopher Bode as the new Chief Medical Director of the Lagos
University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi Araba, with effect from March

Fayose sacks Perm Sec
A Permanent Secretary in the Ekiti State
Civil Service, Mr. Tunde Alokan, has been sacked by Governor Ayodele
Fayose, it was learnt on Monday.
Alokan until his removal was the Permanent Secretary in charge of the Office of Establishment.
A source said Alokan was relieved of his job because of his closeness to a former state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
